(3/4) “The first time around, tandem nursing was incredibly difficult. I thought I had to nurse them both at the same time because the older one would ask every time the baby nursed. But I learned really quickly that that was just too much. I got so touched out, I couldn’t handle it. It took about 6 months for me to really get into a good groove with both of them nursing, but not feeling like I wanted to claw them off of me. The next time, when my daughter was born, it went more smoothly, because I knew that it was ok for me to set limits for myself. I knew it was ok for me to say no to nursing them both at the same time. Just because the toddler wants to nurse, and is going to throw a fit if they can’t, doesn’t mean I have to do it. They can wait. And they do learn to wait. They figure it out. They know they are going to get the milk. They just have to be patient.” #tandemnursing #themilkstories #breastmilk#bottlefeeding #breastfeeding #fedisbest #fedwithlove #motherhood#honestmotherhood #momlife #postpartum #ashlantaylor#ashlantaylorphotography
