(1/4) “I had two really different experiences, with my children being ten years apart. I expected it would be a little different, but it was much more than I thought it would be. With my firstborn, I was bound and determined to breastfeed no matter what. I had been warned it was hard, but after we got through the first couple weeks, breastfeeding was really simple. This time around, with my daughter, breastfeeding issues weren’t even on my radar. I have worked in the mom and baby field and provided breastfeeding advice for others for years. I had such a great experience with my son and then here came my daughter. Despite the fact that I’m friends with four International Board Certified Lactation Consultants I’m not able to get her to latch, or transfer enough milk. It was just so surprising to me that we ended up having these issues.”
