You can read all the breastfeeding books. But babies don’t read the books, babies don’t care about the books, they don’t do any of the work, and they don’t follow any of the rules. I remember thinking I was so ready. I had read everything, I had all my La Leche League people. Then I got this kid who said “yeah, forget this! We aren’t going to follow the rules about nursing like that, we aren’t going to have a good latch.” You have to just do what’s best for you.”
