(3/4) “After going through latching issues, yeast, rash, plugged ducts… just one thing after another, I discovered that I had a passion for lactation support work. I joined some breastfeeding support groups on Facebook, and I started reading about the struggles that other women had with breastfeeding. It became something that I really identified with. I’ve always wanted to help people in some way or another, and this felt like the perfect avenue for that. Because breast milk is absolutely the first and best gift that you can give your baby, whether it’s for a minute, or a day, or a year. So I decided to go to school to become a lactation consultant. It’s been two years, and it will be another two years before I’m completely certified.”
